Lap record still a bit away

Normally, we see some damn fast times in free practice in 2024. David Munoz is currently in the lead with a time of 1:41.676. But that puts him one and a half seconds behind the lap record from 2020, which is held by Celestino Vietti.

Alonso crashes

The world championship leader crashes in turn 4. David Alonso loses the front and slides away. A harmless fall, he is already back on the bike. His promotion to Moto2 has been certain for a few days now. Nobody had doubted it anyway.

Rosenthaler with second wildcard

From a German-speaking perspective, we are pleased to welcome regular driver Noah Dettwiler and Jakob Rosenthaler. The Austrian is driving his second wildcard of the year for Intact GP. He has already done well at the Red Bull Ring. Ivan Ortola is in the lead after the first few laps.

GREEN: Moto3 opens the day

Moto3 started its free practice session in wonderful weather in Italy. The smallest class will now be going full throttle for 35 minutes.
