The police intervened “to prevent something worse from happening.” Uwe Meier, press spokesman for the city of Frankfurt (Oder), explained in response to the inquiry: “We were informed in advance. The security authorities have done a very good job here.” Since special protection regulations apply to 15-year-olds, the city could not provide any further information.
