Honor MagicBook Art 14: Compact notebook with powerful Intel processors comes to Europe

The Honor MagicBook Art 14 is a powerful and particularly compact notebook. The model was also announced for the European market. The notebook is only 10 millimeters thick and weighs around 1 kilogram; the height information does not include the feet. The casing is also made of magnesium, and the keyboard is even said to be made of titanium as a light and very durable material – which, however, comes at a price.

The notebook is equipped with a 14.6-inch screen. This offers a 3.1K resolution and should therefore provide a sharp display. It is a touchscreen, the screen-to-body ratio is specified as 97 percent, so the screen edges are extremely thin. The brightness is regulated with a PWM frequency of 4,320 Hz, and a special e-book mode should enable fatigue-free reading even over longer periods of time. Such a mode can also be useful for text editing. Rather unusual: the webcam is packed onto the notebook and can be stowed away in the case.

One of two Intel processors is designed to provide high computing power, so the notebook will be offered with an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H and Intel Core Ultra 7 155H – an ARM version is also to be released. A 60 Wh more powerful battery is used, but Honor has not yet provided any specific information on battery life – at least not in the press release. Thunderbolt 4 and USB Type C are available, as well as USB Type A, HDMI and a classic 3.5 mm jack connection. The notebook is offered in three color variants.
