The new football season is starting for Taylor Swift's boyfriend. But Travis Kelce has other plans.

He is now 34 and in the autumn of his football career. There is therefore a lot of talk about what Travis Kelce had planned for his life. At first glance, the man is not at all glamorous, he looks like a potato from Ohio – but he is drawn to the glittering world of Hollywood. Kelce has already acted in a series and most recently hosted a TV quiz show that will soon be shown in the USA. She is also the most famous girlfriend in the world: Taylor Swift.

In his podcast “New Heights”, which Kelce runs with his brother Jason, he talks about it with great joy. Amazon has just secured the rights to it for 100 million US dollars. In June, when Swift was at Wembley Stadium in London on her “Eras Tour”, he performed during a concert in front of 90,000 people who shouted “Traviiiiiiis!” Such a large audience is nothing new for Kelce: He won the Superbowl three times with his club, the Kansas City Chiefs; there is no bigger stage in professional sport. Kelce is a “showman”, says Brett Veach, the General Manager of the Chiefs. “He has the natural gift of being able to perform in front of a crowd.”

A situation that Taylor Swift also supports: she had previously been with men who gave the impression that the singer's fame was a bit too much for them. Swift's long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn, a British actor, preferred to hide away with her. He wanted peace and quiet and not to be constantly harassed by paparazzi waiting outside the restaurants where Swift eats dinner. But Kelce doesn't mind: he grins, takes Swift by the hand and walks with her through the flashbulbs. At the start of the new NFL season, things will probably be the other way around and Swift will come to the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium. The photographers are already lurking.
