In addition to the core features of the best-in-class voice assistant SoundHound Chat AI – which integrates generative AI capabilities with vehicle controls and real-time areas such as flight times, navigation and weather – OEMs can take control and make customizations that work for their loyal customers and closely align with their identity as an automaker.

This new level of customization provides drivers with a more engaging and informative experience, allowing them to explore the vehicle's features and functions more easily and effectively.

Brand ID

SoundHound Chat AI's custom Brand ID tool offers automotive partners a new way to shape their brand's interactions with customers. OEMs can now set predefined answers to common and brand-relevant questions. This feature provides:

  • Temporary changes: Easily implement seasonal or campaign-specific updates.

SoundHound Chat AI's onboarding and training feature allows automakers to seamlessly integrate their personalized branding and educate users on the capabilities of their in-vehicle voice assistants. This includes onboarding notes to engage users, as well as customizable greetings, instructions on how to access owner's manuals, and more.

In a recent SoundHound study titled “How Generative AI is Helping Automakers Create Great Driving Experiences,” the company found that 87% of regular drivers use their voice assistant, with usage frequency ranging from 50% weekly to 37% daily. These statistics show that while many drivers are accessing voice AI capabilities, they often do not take full advantage of them.
