OnePlus 13 could come with new BOE X2 display: Check leaked specs and features

OnePlus will reportedly launch its upcoming OnePlus 13 smartphone with the new BOE X2 display, which is scheduled to launch in October this year. This news was recently confirmed when Chinese display maker BOE announced that its latest second-generation “Oriental Screen” or BOE X2 display screen will be used on the upcoming OnePlus 13 smartphone. This announcement was made during the recent BOE Global Innovation Partner Conference 2024. Moreover, the president of OnePlus China shared the news of this new collaboration on Weibo. New BOE X2 display of OnePlus 13 leaked

The upcoming OnePlus 13 smartphone is expected to come with a 6.8-inch BOE-X2 8T LTPO size display that could offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The new display could offer a 2K resolution of 3160 x 1440 pixels. For security, the display could have an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

According to the leaks, the new BOE X2 display will have a flat look and a micro-curvature design on the edges. This suggests that the display of the upcoming OnePlus 13 could have the characteristics of both a flat and a curved display.

OnePlus previously collaborated with manufacturer BOE when it launched the OnePlus 12 model with the first-generation BOE X1 Oriental Screen. According to rumors, in addition to the OnePlus 13, the upcoming Oppo Find X8 Ultra smartphone could also be equipped with the BOE X2 display.

The OnePlus 13 smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The smartphone could come with a 6000mAh battery and support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. In terms of camera specifications, the smartphone is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP LYT-808 main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP 3x telephoto periscope lens. The smartphone is also said to be water and dust resistant.

Expected launch schedule for OnePlus 13

As for the release schedule, the OnePlus 13 smartphone is expected to launch in late October or early November. The smartphone could officially launch before November 11 this year.
