“The White Lotus” actress Natasha Rothwell stars in and produces the TV adaptation of the TikTok series “Who TF Did I Marry?”

Tareasa Johnson’s nightmare marriage becomes a dream project for The White Lotus Emmy-nominated Natasha Rothwell stars in and produces a television adaptation of Johnson's 50-episode, eight-hour epic TikTok video series documenting her relationship with the man allegedly the biggest liar to ever pretend to be the vice president of a spice company.

Johnson's story captivated the internet earlier this year when she unraveled the complicated web of lies told to her by her ex-husband, whom she described as “Legion.” According to diversityJohnson's series garnered more than 450 million views on social media and earned its creator more than 3 million followers within two weeks.

As an elite team of TikTok users later discovered, “Legion” was a certain Jerome McCoy, who has since publicly denied Johnson’s allegations.

Meanwhile, Legion's alleged fabrication includes some truly unbelievable soap opera-level shenanigans, such as multiple ex-wives, fake family members, forged documents, a checkered criminal past, and even assuming his twin brother's life and accomplishments were his own.

No wonder then that there was a bidding war for Johnson's story, with ABC Signature and Rothwell's Big Hattie Productions coming out on top. Rothwell, author and rising star of Unsurereceived an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Anthology for her role as spa manager Belinda in the first season of The White Lotusand will return for the third.

Rothwell will next be seen in How to die alonea Hulu comedy series she created that premieres September 13 and follows a “broke, fat, black JFK airport worker who has never been in love and has forgotten how to dream, until a chance encounter with death catapults her on a journey where she must finally take off and start living by any means necessary.”
