Leak: This is what the Playstation 5 Pro will look like

The Playstation 5 Pro has still not been announced by Sony, but the rumors about the console are taking shape. Now we even know what the console will look like, because a leak has revealed the design of the Pro version.

The French website Dealabs is said to have received the first pictures of the PS5 Pro product packaging. It is not known from which source, but it is probably an insider or product designer who had a sample ready in advance.

However, since they did not want to post the official images for copyright reasons, Dealabs instead created a graphic of the console, which you can view on the website.

PS5 Pro: Is this really the design?

If you believe the pictures, the design of the PS5 Pro is very reminiscent of the Playstation 5 Slim. In addition to the slim body, which is only a little wider than the Slim version, this is mainly due to the white color of the case. There are two black strips on the side that visually set the console apart from the others. In the middle, as usual, you will find two USB-C ports and a power button.

In addition, it should be possible to use the face plates of the PS5 Slim on the PS5 Pro. This means that the console can be designed in red, black or blue. And the drive of the Slim version should also be compatible with the PS5 Pro. A purely digital version of the PS5 Pro would also be possible.

It is difficult for us to judge whether the source of the leak is really trustworthy. However, the information about the console seems credible, even if Sony is apparently not daring to do much new in terms of design. In addition, the author of the report is a well-known leaker who has previously predicted important releases.

The PS5 Pro is currently said to be in development at Sony under the project name Trinity. However, there is no official announcement and the secrecy is much stronger than with the Playstation 5. According to numerous leaks, however, Sony is planning to present the console in September 2024 and then have it on store shelves by the end of the year.
